Well, I’m writing this mainly for myself. I’m gay. It’s fine. While I’m not going to ever be a top-of-the-line writer, I feel slightly compelled to tell a little bit of what’s happening.

I’m gay and I’m a little bit off the grid. I’ve made something of a name for myself as a legendary music video person. I grew up with mv and feel indebted to that community. I was made in 1978 by two very patient and giving peeps.

Growing up as a queer was not very easy. I loved my femininity that threw itself fully into the world. I was a bizarre kid, though: an 80’s kind of guy.

Still, I felt shame in being a bit feminine. I would mimic game show girls a lot. But I also had role models on mainstream TV that were queer but in the closet.
